Orsted 's CHW01 and CHW02a Offshore Wind Farm onshore substations commenced the site construction work on November 8, 2019. After about two and a half years of hard work, CHW02a Substation was successfully energized into the Taipower system on January 21, 2022, and CHW01 Substation was successfully energized into the Taipower system on March 25, 2022.

Despite facing labor shortages, flooding and the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic during construction, SEC's EPC team worked together to overcome the difficulties to successfully energize two substations to the grid and supply power to the offshore substations.

In the process of nearly two and a half years, it has created a record of 1.7 million hours without a recordable lost time accidents (LTI) so far, which has been deeply recognized by the Owner.
